Firm positioned to continue expanding its practices

SEATTLE, July 20, 2016—Moss Adams LLP, one of the largest accounting and business consulting firms in the nation, announced today that Chris Schmidt has been re-elected to serve another term as chairman and chief executive officer until June 30, 2022. Dave Follett will take over for Dick Fohn as the new president and chief operating officer, while Fohn assumes leadership of the firm’s consulting practice. Rebecca Pomering will become chief practice officer. These role changes are effective August 10, 2016.

Follett served as the chief practice officer for Moss Adams since October 2011. In his role as president and chief operating officer, Follett will be responsible for firm operations and administration, and will oversee daily operations including finance, human resources and information technology. He will also work with regional leaders to direct and implement the firm’s overall growth strategies.

“I’m honored to step into this role and help lead Moss Adams into the future,” Follett said. “I hope to continue the firm’s legacy and commitment to our people and excellent client service.”

In his new role as regional managing partner of consulting, Fohn will guide the rapidly growing consulting practice, leveraging his operational leadership experience to expand the firm’s current consulting offerings and further develop the practice.

“I’m excited to get closer to our client service delivery again,” Fohn said. “There’s been a clear and growing appetite among our clients for additional consulting offerings. Along with our tax and assurance practice, our consulting capabilities are integral to the holistic service approach we want to provide our middle-market clients.”

Pomering served as the chief executive officer of Moss Adams Wealth Advisors LLC since 2008. In her new role as chief practice officer for Moss Adams, Pomering will oversee the firm’s growth strategies, national industry practices, business development activities and marketing functions.

“I’m excited to have the opportunity to help lead Moss Adams and the highly capable and passionate people who work here,” Pomering said. “I look forward to building upon the strong momentum that has allowed the firm to thrive for over a century.”

Schmidt affirmed, “Moss Adams is truly fortunate to have so many strong, tested leaders to help secure the firm’s continued success. This leadership transition will position Moss Adams for continued success in 2016 and beyond.”
