California to Kick-Off 2017 with $100 Million for California Competes Tax Credit

The California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) is authorized to negotiate its remaining $170-plus million in tax credits for the 2016–2017 fiscal year via the California Competes Tax Credit (CCTC). The first application period will see $100 million become available starting January 2, 2017.

Any company with plans to grow can apply—regardless of size or industry or location—during the periods below.

The CCTC is available to businesses currently located in California that are thinking about expanding their business as well as those planning to start or relocate operations in the state.

Since 2014, GO-Biz has awarded approximately $400 million to nearly 600 companies, helping to create over 60,000 California jobs and $13.5 billion in investments.
