Grassroots to Governance
As the firm grows and we work toward our I&D goals, the grassroots work of our people led to development of a governance framework to hold us accountable for consistent progress.
In 2022, we instituted the framework for our I&D activities to help pressure-test our efforts and pivot when necessary. In 2023, we began to leverage this framework to refine our processes and enhance existing resources with better-defined roles and responsibilities that center I&D action into everything we do.

The framework also identified six teams to help deliver on our I&D strategy:
- I&D Board. Leads the firm’s I&D strategy.
- Regional I&D Leadership. Delivers regional I&D strategy in cooperation with the I&D board and regional business resource group (BRG) chapters.
- Industry Group I&D Leadership. Implements growth opportunities in client work aligned with our I&D strategy, focusing on sponsorship and mentoring.
- National BRG Leadership: Drives alignment between regional and firmwide BRG strategy.
- Regional BRG Leadership. Drives regional BRG strategy, executing firmwide strategy at the regional level with a special focus on community building.
- Inclusion and Social Responsibility Team. Consults firm leadership and the I&D Board on developing and executing the firm’s I&D and social responsibility strategies.
