SEATTLE, July 13, 2015—In response to the growing demand for Transaction Services, Moss Adams is pleased to announce the additions of David Terry as a new partner and Chad Gumm as a director.
“The demand for transaction support has grown tremendously over the past two years,” said Chris Schmidt, chairman and CEO of Moss Adams. “With the wealth of experience that David and Chad bring to Moss Adams, we are better positioned to serve the needs of existing clients that have increased transaction activity as well as capitalize on market opportunities.”
Joining as a partner in Transaction Services, Terry’s expertise broadens the firm’s financial due diligence capabilities. A former partner at Grant Thornton and Deloitte, he has more than 20 years of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) experience with private equity and corporate acquirers, as well as know-how in sell-side due diligence, which is the fastest-growing aspect of Transaction Services.
Terry will oversee client transactions across the United States, as well as focus on further developing private equity relationships for Moss Adams throughout the Midwest and East Coast.
Gumm, meanwhile, strengthens the firm’s M&A tax bench as director in Transaction Services. Joining Moss Adams from PwC, Gumm brings more than 14 years of M&A tax experience to the firm, including buy- and sell-side tax due diligence, tax structuring, Section 382 net operating loss issues, and drafting of tax opinion letters. Based in San Francisco, Gumm’s clients include large Bay Area technology companies and private equity funds.
“These are exciting times,” Schmidt said. “We’ve built a great team and we can’t wait to see what they can accomplish in this growing sector.”
