Moss Adams and Rona Consulting Group combine to expand Health Care Consulting Practice

SEATTLE, Sept. 12, 2017—Moss Adams LLP, one of the largest accounting, consulting and wealth management firms in the nation, and Seattle-based Rona Consulting Group (RCG), a nationally recognized lean health care consultancy, announced that they agreed to combine.

Effective September 1, 2017, the combination expands the Moss Adams Health Care Consulting Practice, broadening service capabilities, including the application of lean management principles. With the addition of RCG’s professionals, Moss Adams becomes one of the only middle-market accounting firms to offer a holistic set of services for health care clients. For RCG, the combination enables a greater platform from which the consultancy can continue its vision of transforming health care.

“We’re pleased to combine with Rona Consulting Group and incorporate their expertise into our services,” said Chris Pritchard, Moss Adams partner and national practice leader of the Health Care Consulting Practice. “The health care landscape is changing rapidly, and high-quality outcomes have become a top priority for hospitals and health care systems to better serve patients and improve operations. This is a tremendous opportunity to expand our health care expertise with a highly regarded firm and better serve our clients through specialized consulting services.”

“We’ve known Moss Adams for years, and leadership from both firms knew we’d be better together,” said Mike Rona, chairman of RCG. “The vast financial and strategic acumen of Moss Adams will bring considerable value to RCG’s clients undergoing lean transformations.”

Founded in 2007, RCG is a management consultancy serving integrated health care systems, hospitals, medical suppliers and government organizations. Using the Toyota Management System, RCG aims to create value for patients and communities by eliminating the waste in health care and creating safer care, higher quality, shorter wait times and lower costs.

Twenty-eight RCG professionals, including their three founding partners and leadership team, will join Moss Adams as a lean consulting practice. RCG is a virtual practice with people working remotely across the country, and the group will continue to operate virtually at Moss Adams.

“This combination with Moss Adams felt like a natural step in the growth strategy of our firm,” said Craig Vercruysse, principal and CEO of RCG. “Our firms have similar cultures and business ideals, and we’re pleased to be able to offer our clients the expanded resources and opportunities available to them from a firm the caliber of Moss Adams.”

This announcement is the second in recent weeks for Moss Adams. It signed a letter of intent to combine with Hein & Associates, a top 100 accounting firm, last month. That combination will expand the firm’s footprint in the western United States with new locations in Denver and Houston and will add a new oil and gas practice.
