SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 11, 2022—Moss Adams, one of the largest accounting, consulting and wealth management firms in the nation, announced the addition of Eric Lucas as managing director in the firm’s national Health Care Consulting Practice.
Drawing on more than 25 years of experience in health care financial management, Lucas will help lead the firm’s Provider Reimbursement Enterprise Services nationwide. His leadership and expertise will expand and strengthen an already established team of experienced professionals who assist health care organizations with Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement optimization and compliance, cost reporting, Medicare disproportionate share hospital (DSH) reimbursement and Worksheet S-10, Medicare bad debt, Medicare wage index and outsourced reimbursement department functions.

Prior to joining Moss Adams, Lucas served as system vice president of reimbursement and governmental affairs for CommonSpirit Health, where he built a centralized reimbursement department, managed government reimbursement and revenue analysis activities and collaborated with internal and external leaders to participate in various reimbursement program opportunities.

Lucas is a graduate of California State University, Northridge, where he earned his degree in business administration and accounting. He has participated in multiple industry payment workgroups, represented hospitals in media discussions and has experience with advocacy groups related to major reimbursement matters. Lucas also was a pioneer member in the California Provider Fee development team and continues to play a role in its success.
