  • Accounting update. Overview of changes being discussed by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and the impacts on financial statements.
  • Affiliate transactions. An examination of the requirements for pricing and documenting charges between affiliated entities.
  • Internal controls. Assessing risk and establishing controls, how to document and test internal controls, and telecommunications case studies.
  • Forecasting. Standard practices on forecasting to assist in grant applications.
  • Leases. A review of leasing changes post Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 842 implementation.

Jason Lu, CPA, Senior Manager, Moss Adams

Jason has specialized in the telecommunications industry since 2012. He’s responsible for helping plan and complete financial audits. Jason’s responsibilities include assessing risk and internal controls, identifying areas of noncompliance, and drafting and preparation of financial statements and disclosures.

Justin Wardle, CPA, Senior Manager, Moss Adams

Justin has practiced public accounting since 2006. He provides assurance services to clients in the telecommunications industry, including risk assessment, testing internal controls over financial reporting, and preparing financial statements and related disclosures. Justin also has experience performing audits for defined benefit employee benefit plans and state Universal Service Funds.
