The R&D tax credit is one of the most beneficial yet under-utilized incentives available to the aerospace and defense industry. The credit is available to a wide range of aerospace and defense companies developing new or improved products or manufacturing processes—and is offered at the federal and state level.
Aerospace and defense companies are in a unique position to capitalize on R&D tax credits due to the wide variety of innovation and activity across the industry. The credit isn’t limited to internal R&D project—it can also be used for development done under contract as well as the development and improvement of manufacturing processes.
Companies also have the ability to claim credits retroactively for the past three years, which can help generate significant cash refunds.
In our webcast, we discuss how organizations can qualify for this credit, what expenses and activities are applicable, and next steps for identifying savings scope.
Tune in to learn more about specific R&D credit opportunities for the aerospace and defense sub-sectors including subsystem designers and manufacturers; maintenance, repair and overhaul; original equipment manufacturers; and more.
