Biography

David has practiced public accounting since 1994. He provides tax consulting and compliance services to public and private companies in the manufacturing and distribution, energy, and real estate industries. David has extensive experience with tax provisions (ASC 740) for public and private companies as well as those in the IPO process. He also has experience addressing issues related to mergers and acquisitions, such as stock vs. assets, carryover of tax attributes, and limitations on tax attributes. In addition, David performs cost segregation studies, transfer pricing studies, and repair and maintenance projects.

David’s experience also includes issues related to stock basis, earnings, and profits for corporate distributions; foreign and domestic entity classification issues; and transaction structuring issues. He speaks regularly about tax issues to various audiences, and has taught Corporate Tax at the University of North Texas.
