Biography

Maria helps mission-driven and community-serving organizations be more effective, efficient, and equitable. Her areas of expertise include enterprise risk management, performance and internal audit, organizational and operational assessments, and process improvement. Maria serves organizations in the public and social sectors, including local, state, and Tribal governments; not-for-profits and foundations; and higher education institutions. 

In addition to experience as a local government performance auditor, Maria has worked alongside leaders to assess organizational performance and develop and implement risk management, strategic planning, and continuous improvement initiatives, offering her expertise through coaching, facilitation, and evaluation. Maria’s experience also includes analyzing organizational processes and workflows, cultures, relationships, and structures, and making recommendations for improvement.
