Biography

Melissa has been in public accounting since 1997 including four years with a Big Four firm. Her focus is helping clients in the food processing and distribution as well as manufacturing and consumer products industries identify areas for improvement. She provides accounting and auditing services as well as business consulting, preparation of accounting policies and procedures manuals, systems control and operations risk evaluations with recommendations for system improvements, and business planning.

Melissa has worked with many clients involved in mergers, acquisitions, and corporate joint ventures.  Her breadth of experience allows for a client service approach that includes not only a solid grasp of GAAP and financial reporting, but also an in-depth understanding of business processes and information systems and an ability to relate to the client’s perspective.

Throughout her public accounting career, Melissa has developed an effective audit methodology that uses advanced computerized techniques. In 2005, she was the recipient of the firm’s Technical Excellence Award.
