Biography

Chris is a tax partner in the San Francisco office. He has 20 years of experience in public accounting, specializing in partnership taxation, including complex partner allocations resulting from property and partnership interest transfers. Chris has extensive fund experience including real estate funds, private equity funds, hedge funds, fund of funds, and other types of alternative investments, and advises on matters related to taxations and organizational structure. He consults on a variety of tax issues involving blocker corporations, asset acquisitions and dispositions, transactions involving distressed debt, loan modifications, and constructive sales. This experience includes a broad range of tax planning, compliance, and wealth transfer strategies for ultra-high net worth individuals. Chris is the regional industry group leader for the real estate practice.
